Unless your app is alarming you to drink water or the person sitting beside you is sipping water, You don’t actually become excited to drink water, right? Well, you are not alone then. Believe me, try asking a few friends and colleagues of yours at work. Do they also wait for a push to drink water?

Well, it’s just the end of February, and you still have a chance to latch on one more resolution of ‘staying dehydrated with infusion’. What do you say?

Everyone should drink water to stay hydrated and to maintain the digestive system. How about making water a health appetizer? A kind of an immune-booster or simply a drink that your eyes could not control to see the appealing shades of water, the drink that does not ask for an external reminder.

 

Before we go further you must want to know what is infused water and what to infused water with?

When you incorporate healthy food items like herbs, seeds, fruits and vegetables, the drink in water, It is called infused water. Drink this health tonic without any guilt of pounding on calories.

What you all have to do is buy a good water infusion bottle and then, choose the healthy options you want to infuse in it. Give a couple of hours to infuse the water with healthy nutrients.

So, today’s post is all about hacking your thirst. Here are the hacks below. Be your own chef and prepare the healthy drink’s recipe. Sip on these thirst hacker drinks throughout the day.

1. Giloy-Tulsi mix

Giloy leaf is known for its anti-inflammatory, digestive and blood purifying properties. Whereas Tulsi (Basil) has been recognised as the best remedy for a lot of common ailments. We have impressive studies on how Tulsi and Giloy help to curb stress, anxiety by eliminating toxins and raising body stamina.

Add a few leaves of Tulsi and Giloy in water. Let them infused over a couple of hours. And then, you can sip on.

2. Cinnamon water

Cinnamon helps in reducing blood sugar levels by slowing down the breakdown of carbohydrates after you have had a meal. The antimicrobial properties of cinnamon are also known to prevent tooth decay and bad breath.

Infuse 1small stick of cinnamon or 1/2 tsp of its powder in water. Sip on throughout the day.

3. The mix of fennel, coriander, cumin and turmeric

Fennel, coriander and cumin are the ever best spices since the Ayurveda age. This is the best mix to aid digestion by boosting your body metabolism. Take 1 tsp of each fennel, whole coriander seeds and turmeric powder in your infusion bottle. You can also make it powdered and infused in water. This ultimate infusion mix helps you to relax in bloating, indigestion and in any sort of stomach discomfort.

4. Cucumber-chia mix

Cucumber is known as the king of hydration as it contains 95% water (in 100 gms). Apart from adding a refreshing taste, Cucumber helps in treating various skin ailments and being topically used for tanning, sunburn acne, etc. Chia, an antioxidant, packed with fibres, omega-3 fatty acid and other nutrients. It is also known to raise the good cholesterol in our body, commonly called HDL.

Slice a few cucumber pieces and let it infused in water. Add 1 tsp of chia seeds in it. This perfect combination of infusion keeps you stay full for a longer period of time.

5.  Strawberry- flax mix

Strawberries are the most vibrant and eye-catching fruit, no matter what recipe you are making out of it. It is a great antioxidant and an excellent source of vitamin C. The presence of pigment quercetin and kaempferol helps against damaging the artery walls of our heart.

Flax, another nutrient-packed with omega 3 fatty acids, fibres and various nutrients. It has a significant role in reducing the risk of diabetes, heart diseases and cancer.

Cut a few strawberries into pieces and in water. Add 1 tsp flax seeds. Let it infused for some time. You may use oranges in place of strawberries.
