Do you want to have happy neurons that help improve your memory recall or to become more accomplished at work?

You don’t get older and aged by just living for years. Ageing may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the mental ability. When you are healthy, you are confident and have a better mindset. It’s just that simple.

This health hack post is for those who are engaged consistently in work mission, who are driving their business and covering the topsy turvy entrepreneurial journey, and also for those who are leading ahead by putting the examples behind. Yes, I am talking about how to keep mental fitness as the best line of defence. And here comes the concept of ‘‘Neurobics’’ – to rewire your brain network.

Neurobics! It’s a simple way to fight off the frightening effects of mental ageing by doing some brain stimulation exercises.

Besides the benefits to your brain and memory, engaging in brain exercise can improve your focus, memory and mindset at work.

Neurobics activities or exercises rewire your brain to increase the range of mental motion. They result in a mind that’s fit to meet various challenges and help stay to stay creative in your work.

What does it want from you?

Neurobics ask you to do some simple and convenient exercises or to be involved in some activities that you may not have been doing regularly or normally. It’s about your conscious effort to improve focus.

Why Neurobics?

The purpose of opting Neurobics is to activate neurons that can wipe out the pseudo threat of ageing and symptoms related to it.

The consensus amongst the world’s leading neurologists says being healthy is not only the absence of disease. Staying healthy means you are keeping all the aspects wellness- physical, mental, social and emotional well being. And these are, to a large extent, influenced by factors within our control.

I am not diving you into the science of neurons here, but suffice it to say that every cell in your body is communicating with your brain. You need to take advantage of every sense we are blessed with.

Neurobics task and exercise are not at all aimed at being complex. The focus is on involving unused senses consciously and being out of the box.

Whatever your plan for staying fit this year, I wish you much success. But I would urge you to get involved in some brain activities. Believe me, the outcome you receive will be worth taking.

 

Here are the hacks to tune up your brain and help gain your momentum at the workplace.

 

  1. Activate your senses in a new way 

By dulling the sense you normally use, you force other senses to get involved. Eat a meal in silence, for example, or listen to Mozart while inhaling lavender Or use smell for identification.

You can also combine two or more senses in unexpected ways, for example, listen to a specific piece of music while smelling a particular aroma or reading a book.

2. Feed superfoods to your super brain

Eat something you never heard of before or food you have never had before. Try some brain superfoods. Load yourself with avocados & berries, greens like broccoli & kale, healthy nuts like walnut & sunflower seeds.

3. Force other senses to get involved

Eat a meal in silence. Go slow. You can see, touch, smell the food by involving the senses altogether. Tune in to music that you love to hear. Think for a vacation you wish to go or remember the good moments of your previous holidays spent.

4. Creative moves

With your television, desktop or mobile on and whatever you are watching, put on mute and create your dialogues version or, try writing with your non-working hand to perform the way you normally do not. Think about self- move, your made creation.

 5. Involve in Art activities

The art activity is known for activating the nonverbal and emotional parts of the brain, the cerebral cortex. When you create art, the brain forms different alignment and helps improve logical and linear thinking.

6. Crossover exercises

The activity involves the interaction between the left and right sides of the body at a time. By stimulating the right and left part (hemispheres ) of the brain, You will be able to concentrate more at work.

Try making circles with your right hand and left together but in opposite direction.

Neurobics can potentially improve memory recall. It may create a new way of doing things that constantly stimulate your brain.
